A second “Exploratory Group” meeting for our new church plant in Bellingham is scheduled for Sunday, April 1st at 5pm. A light dinner will be served and hosted at our place. Friends and family are welcome to attend; childcare will also be provided.

In the midst of preparing for a new church it is easy to get lost in the “busy” work. I am reminded of the deeper things; that ultimately this is more than mere religious activity or a haphazard gathering of people but it is about shepherding a community that is bent on doing good… I remind myself of that constantly, that in the end, we are the good guys, and we are on a mission of doing good to the people around us, Bellingham, Whatcom, the world. Einstein hung a sign in his office that read: “Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.” Do me a favor and remind me of this everyday – that starting a church is about what counts the most. People. Justice. Community. Soul. Global Presence. Ultimately, doing good.
